Scabbard/Knife/Sheath Making Pros

    Bob Park

As a youngster growing up around Prescott and Wickenburg, AZ., I was greatly influenced by the cowboy lifestyle. Raised in a family active in ranching, roping and horse showing, I learned the value and importance of quality functional gear. It later became my passion to make that gear beautiful as well.

My specialty is western floral tooling. I have always been drawn to the artistry in the leather that has played such a vital role in our western heritage. The experience I gained while working for N. Porters and Wm. N. Porters Saddle Shop aids in my endeavor to create a fresh new look while honoring the rich tradition of the western style.
As a user of the products and gear I make, I strive to produce distinctive pieces of the highest quality. My work has sold throughout the US and in Europe. I enjoy sharing with other makers and when I'm not at my bench you can still find me at a horse show or local jackpot roping.

    Rob Bennett

Rob Bennett has been interested in leather work since he was in high school. He took a leather craft class but one of his friends who has done leather work for over 30 yrs got me into it recently. My friend has worked with me off & on and showed me the basics and I took it from there. He then became serious with it about a year ago. He is glad to help out when he can here at leatherpros.net. He says "The cool thing about leather is that no two people do things the same and we can all learn from each other. I don't feel that there is any right or wrong way to do any one thing with leather". He is scheduled to teach some leather courses at a nearby community college this coming fall and is looking forward to it. So, feel free to ask your questions at the forums or e-mail me with your questions and I will do my best to point you in the right direction.
