  1. Itchin for a britchen

    Packers
I am packing into the mountains this summer and I need to know how to properly rig a britchen. I have one off my Dads old harness and i will be using a saw buck. I think i need to build tugs that go straight from the britchen to the riggin, they are gone and all it has is the straps that go up over his ass to hold it up. I assume it should sit below the round hip muscles so it doesnt ride up under his tail, and these straps hook to the saw buck?, or down to the riggin? It ...

It's a great machine and will sew up to 5/8". Great for chinks, chaps, purses, alterations and more. Excellent for use on canvas and vinyl as well.

  4. dye and finish holsters

I am making some conceal carry holsters and need info on the best way to dye and finish. I need to retain the stiffness of the leather after it is formed and dry so it the mouth will stay open for re-holstering. It seems that dipping it in the dye would be easiest. What type of dye do I use and also what type of acrylic could I dip it in to further seal it. I t seems the best holsters are rock hard so I guess they are not using any oils or conditioners.

It is a new saddle that has never been oiled all parts are dry.
The saddle has a suede seat, rough-out jockeys and fenders.
Problem how do I condition the, rough-out jockeys and fenders?
After conditioning do I use a suede brush to bring up the nap on the flesh side to make the rough-out look
